Designation
- Particularly for sanding steel of standard strength, but also for sanding wood and wood products of different hardness, as well as non-ferrous metals and their alloys, e.g. aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, etc.
- For a wide range of sanding with conventional angle grinders thanks to the possibility of combining the type of backing plate and the grit of the fibre disc
- For machining surfaces, edges and corners by normal pressure on the worked material, removing varnish and corrosion, cleaning welds and weld seams, as well as for a wide range of applications in industrial environments
- Depending on the selected grit size: from aggressive sanding to fine cleaning
- Depending on the type of backing plate: from surface sanding to sanding of edges, corners and hard-to-reach areas
Description
Primary raw material - layer of abrasive aluminium oxide grains (industrially produced corundum) bonded with synthetic resin to a 0.8mm thick vulcanised fibre backing:
very good removal especially when machining standard strength steel
Necessity of using a backing plate:
the properties of the backing plate (hardness, elasticity) are decisive for the type of work to be carried out and the design of the backing plate is a key factor for safety at work
Grain size standard in the range P24 to 80 according to FEPA (850 to 200 µm):
allows the selection of the appropriate tool from coarse sanding to finer cleaning
