Designation
- For gentle cleaning of workpiece surfaces - minimizes damage and changes in shape
- For preparing workpiece surfaces before further processing - effectively removes light dirt, fine rust, thin layers of old paints and varnishes, and light buildup of limescale from smaller areas and hard-to-reach places.
- Suitable for a wide range of workpieces including steel, stainless steel, alloy steels, non-ferrous metals, soft and hard wood, stone, marble, etc.
- Especially for straight grinders with speed control, conditionally also for electric drills
Description
The primary raw material STRIP-IT Black:
a three-dimensional mesh structure made of durable nylon fibers, impregnated with a synthetic resin containing silicon carbide (SiC) abrasive grains.
HERMAN MP-90S series backing plate must be used according to the selected diameter:
45mm backing plate for a 50mm cleaning disc /
70mm backing plate for a 75mm cleaning disc
Stability of the structure of the primary raw material:
the structure of the tool does not change under the influence of grinding, thus allowing repeated use with undiminished performance
Elasticity as a key feature:
enables cleaning even highly uneven surfaces
Reduced sparking intensity during machining:
mainly due to silicon carbide grains in the synthetic resin
The contact surface is only minimally contaminated with dirt:
the grinding dust from the pores is easily released during grinding due to centrifugal force
The porous structure dissipates heat effectively:
ambient swirling air easily penetrates the pores and contributes significantly to cooling the tool
Robust design:
grinding wheel thickness up to 13mm
Gentle on the workpiece:
silicon carbide with a suitably selected grain size does not cause damage to the surface and maintains its shape
Universal use:
the range depends largely on the peripheral speed (recommended range: 20-30m/s) and the grinding pressure
Warning:
when machining stainless steel, do not use the same tool for other materials
Warning:
when working, do not exceed the maximum speed indicated on the product.
